Professor Tu received his Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities and holds a bachelor's degree from Xi'an Jiaotong University. He currently serves as a professor at the School of Business, Shenzhen Technology University.

Professor Tu has extensive experience in business management. Prior to joining Shenzhen Technology University, he was General Manager in several foreign enterprises in the Pearl River Delta region, overseeing all aspects of operations, including production, supply chain, quality, finance, and human resources, while also being accountable for the company's profitability and loss (P & L). During his time in the industry, Professor Tu integrated theoretical knowledge with practical applications, continuously exploring innovative management practices, achieving significant results in automation, operations management, and cost reduction. He hold four Chinese patents in automation.

Before entering the private sector, Professor Tu taught at the Department of Industrial Engineering at Tsinghua University and the Tsinghua University Shenzhen International Graduate School. He was also a visiting researcher at the Microsoft Research Asia. His academic papers have been published in renowned journals and conferences, including CHI, IEEE conferences, Annals of Operations Research, Journal of Supply Chain Management Systems, and Industrial Engineering (a leading Chinese journal).

Professor Tu teaches courses in Applied Economics, Statistics, Project Management, and Advanced Human Factors.

His research interests focus on operations management and human-computer interaction.
