On February 24, 2023, Associate Professors Hao CHEN and Yun CHENG attended the "Teaching Case Workshop" jointly organized by College of Management, Shenzhen University and CEIBS Case Center. The case teaching method focuses on using business cases to introduce real business scenarios, foster classroom discussions, create an environment where students can apply what they have learned to solve real-world problems. Such method could develop students' skills/capabilities in critical thinking and creating practical solutions.

The workshop invited Prof. Shimin CHEN, Zhu Xiaoming Chair in Accounting and Director of CEIBS Case Center, to give a keynote speech on the case teaching method as well as how to develop high-quality teaching cases, etc. Participants had an in-depth discussion around those topics during the workshop.

The Business School emphasizes the student-centered teaching philosophy, focusing on the cultivation of students' innovative spirit and ability. By incorporating innovative teaching methods such as case method, business simulation, and action learning to undergraduate courses, faculty members effectively improve and guarantee teaching quality.

In order to meet teaching needs, the school has purchased well-known teaching case bases, such as the Global Platform of China Cases, SAGE Business Case, etc., encourages faculty members learn and use case teaching methods, and provides support for developing teaching cases. Several faculty members have established collaborations with researchers and professors from top Chinese school, e.g., School of Economics and Management, Tsinghua University, to develop high quality teaching cases in the Greater Bay Area.
