Message to Students from the Dean (August 2023)

Dear Students,                                                                                                                           August 30, 2023

First of all, I would like to welcome our new students to the Business School and wish you interesting and successful studies. Now that you may be in a foreign environment for a longer period of time for the first time, I am sure that you will quickly settle in and forget any homesickness that may arise. All of us, the staff and the entire professorate are here for you and will help you. I expressly call upon you to overcome any shyness you may have and come to us.

A large number of students who are already enrolled have overcome this shyness during their vacation time by participating in various summer schools at our cooperation partners in Regensburg, Munich, Nuremberg and Bonn-Rhein-Sieg. They have returned from Germany with new insights and impressions and are entering their new semester with fresh vigor and a zest for action.

In the same way, more than 100 students gained new experience during their internships in companies last semester. I assume that these latter students are also entering their final year of studies with a whole new vigor, in which they will now see some course content with a new perspective against the backdrop of the new professional knowledge they have gained in the "real" corporate world.

In any case, I wish you all a successful and happy new semester, in which you will gain new insights and broaden and deepen your knowledge base.

At the same time, I would like to remind you, my dear students, to abide by all the rules and decisions made around your studies, to respect each other and to contact your class teachers or the relevant Business School staff in case of any uncertainties. We will help you.

Once again, I wish you all the best from the bottom of my heart.

Warmest regards

Holger Haldenwang
Honorary Dean Business School
