Liu Jingyang holds an Economics Ph.D. from Utrecht University in the Netherlands. His research spans two areas: (1) Macroeconomics, focusing on the reasons behind the decoupling of monetary aggregates and private credit, with a primary emphasis on the impact of financial innovation and international capital flows; and (2) the Applied Macroeconometrics, examining the effects of infrastructure development on inequality, the environment, and health. He has authored an English monograph and published research papers in international journals such as Economic Modelling and Transportation Research Part A. He is also deeply interested in intergenerational studies and gender inequality, as well as the application of large language models in economics. Students with related interests are welcome to join.
