Associate Professor Dr. Markus Rach joins the Program Committee of the yearly Digital Marketing & eCommerce Conference BNC. The Digital Marketing & eCommerce Conference aims to bring together leading researchers and research scholars to exchange and share their experiences and research results on any aspects of ecommerce and digital marketing. It also offers a platform for academicians and practitioners to present and discuss the most recent breakthroughs, trends, and concerns as well as practical challenges encountered, and solutions adopted in the fields of ecommerce and digital marketing. Dr. Rach has been an active contributor to the conference with various conference presentations and successive publications in conference proceedings. His 2023 conference contribution is titled “Louis Vuitton, Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi. The greatest marketing stunt of the century, or just hype driven vanity-metrics?”. This eye tracking research-based contribution aims to stimulate a discussion on the role of academics in everyday social media marketing postings and discussions to spread scientific knowledge to current practitioners' discussions.
In his new role, Dr. Rach will promote conference contributions amongst Chinese academics to enhance the academic discourse of Chinese digital marketing scholars with their global counterparts. The conference attracts high level contributions and receives sponsoring from the University of Barcelona, Springer and Gorilla Research Tools.
