Since 2019, the Shenzhen Local Financial Supervisory Authority, together with the Financial Services and Treasury Bureau of Hong Kong, the Hong Kong Monetary Authority and the Monetary Authority of Macao, and FinTech industry associations, higher learning institutions and scientific research institutes, implemented the "Shenzhen, Hong Kong and Macao Fintech Professionals" professional talent program in China, Hong Kong and Macao. The program established a financial technology talent training mechanism which integrating "examination, training and recognition" into one system.
The Shenzhen-Hong Kong-Macao FinTech Qualification Examination meets the relevant requirements of the FinTech Development Plan (2019-2021), and is also a comprehensive professional certification in terms of knowledge level and practical ability. There is a shortage of fintech talents in the market, and the gap is large, and obtaining the professional qualification certificate of financial technologist in Shenzhen, Hong Kong and Macao is a recognition of professional talents. The licensed talents will have the opportunity to become comprehensive talents that are scarce and sought-after in the fintech market, with broad career prospects.
Associate Professor WOO of Business School successfully passed the Shenzhen-Hong Kong-Macao Fintech Qualification Examination Level I this year. The overall passing rate of the exam is no more than 40%. The exam has 13 courses. Associate Professor Jack WOO said that in addition to scientific research and teaching, university teachers also need to maintain a passiomn for learning and be familiar with the application of new scientific and technological knowledge. "The Professional Program is the Huangpu Military Academy of Fintech", which promotes the good development of the FinTech ecosystem. Most of the FinTech trainees are industry talents, and the participation in the course learning and professional guidance of industry experts are conducive to strengthening the exchange of FinTech ecosystem, meeting industry leaders, and expanding professional knowledge.
