To help students accurately grasp the development trends of the financial industry, clarify internship and employment directions, and enhance core job-hunting competitiveness, the Business School of Shenzhen Technology University successfully held a themed lecture entitledDevelopment Trends of Financial Services and Internship & Employment for College Students in Classroom C1-107 on June 13,2026. Organised by Associate Professor WOO KOK LIAN and delivered by Ms. Lin Lili, University-Enterprise Cooperation Project Manager of Shenzhen YinYan Technology Co., Ltd., the lecture attracted more than 80 students from the school. The event featured enthusiastic on-site interaction and achieved a complete success.

Drawing on her rich experience in university-enterprise cooperation and industrial practice, Ms. Lin conducted an in-depth sharing focusing on four core modules: a full overview of the financial industry, emerging industrial development trends, changes in the employment market, and practical internship implementation strategies. She systematically sorted out the four core financial sectors including banking, securities and futures, insurance, as well as funds and trusts. By elaborating on the core job responsibilities, suitable candidate traits and basic salary ranges of each sector, she corrected the common misconception that finance jobs always bring high salaries, and guided students to make rational career choices based on their personal characteristics, comprehensive abilities and career planning.

Focusing on the banking sector that attracts the most student attention, Ms. Lin deeply analyzed the positioning, recruitment criteria and mainstream job structures of state-owned major banks, joint-stock commercial banks and urban commercial banks. She clarified the core demand of banks for technological and interdisciplinary talents amid the wave of digital transformation, providing clear guidance for students to improve professional capabilities and prepare for job applications.

Combined with cutting-edge industrial cases, she interpreted four major development trends of modern financial services: digital and technological upgrading of financial services, in-depth expansion of inclusive finance to empower the real economy, standardized and professional industrial upgrading, and prevalent cross-industry integration. She further analyzed employment opportunities and job changes brought by industrial transformation, and illustrated the capability improvement path for students transitioning from campus to the workplace. In the practical session of internship and employment guidance, she shared systematic internship preparation methods covering resume optimization and interview skills, and put forward targeted planning suggestions and risk-avoidance tips for banking internships. Her practical and valuable sharing won high praise from all participating students.

This lecture serves as a key measure for the Business School to promote high-quality employment for graduates. By building a university-enterprise docking platform and inviting senior industrial experts to campus, the school effectively bridges the "last mile" for students’ transition from campus to the workplace. Through the continuous organization of career guidance, industry sharing and university-enterprise docking activities, the school has effectively supported a large number of graduates to obtain high-quality positions in the financial industry.

Statistics show that graduates of the 2021 and 2022 intakes of the school have been employed by dozens of well-known banking institutions, including Bank of China, Agricultural Bank of China, China Construction Bank, China Guangfa Bank, Zheshang Bank, Guangdong Huaxing Bank, Guangzhou Bank, Bohai Bank, Postal Savings Bank of China and Bank of Shanghai. The positions cover management trainee, elite comprehensive post, customer manager, operation specialist, marketing specialist and other core roles. Meanwhile, a large number of graduates have entered high-end financial fields such as securities, insurance and funds, realizing high-quality employment.
