On June 17, 2025, under the guidance of Associate Professor Lutz Philip Hecker from the School of Business, students from Class of 2024 International Business at Shenzhen Technology University visited the 10th Shenzhen International Cross-Border E-Commerce Trade Expo and the 8th 616 Global Cross-Border E-Commerce Festival at the Futian Convention and Exhibition Center, embarking on an inspiring learning experience.

The 616 Global Cross-Border E-Commerce Festival and Shenzhen International Cross-Border E-Commerce Trade Expo (referred to as the "Cross-Border Expo") is an annual global industry event approved by the Shenzhen Municipal Government and organized by the Shenzhen Cross-Border E-Commerce Association. Over the past eight years, the cumulative exhibition area has reached 300,000㎡, with participation from over 30 countries and regions, attracting more than 200,000 industry professionals and bringing together over 5,000 enterprises covering the entire cross-border e-commerce supply chain.

During the expo, students gained in-depth insights into the latest trends and technological innovations in the cross-border e-commerce sector, particularly in areas such as overseas warehousing, smart logistics, global branding, and digital marketing. Through interactions with company representatives, students broadened their understanding of international trade operations and deepened their grasp of the cross-border e-commerce ecosystem. For instance, some exhibitors demonstrated AI-powered product selection systems and localized operation strategies, allowing students to experience firsthand how technology empowers global market expansion. Moreover, the students actively engaged in discussions and participated enthusiastically, showcasing strong professional competence and a keen interest in learning—laying a solid foundation for their future studies and careers in international business.

This visit was warmly supported and hosted by Mr. Liu Shenbao, Deputy Director of the Shenzhen Cross-Border E-Commerce Association, and Ms. Xu Feng, Director of the International Cross-Border E-Commerce Trade Expo. Associate Professor Lutz Philip Hecker from the Business School engaged in fruitful discussions and expressed intentions for collaboration with them regarding student internships and employment opportunities between the Business School of Shenzhen Technology University, the Shenzhen Cross-Border E-Commerce Association, and the International Cross-Border E-Commerce Trade Expo.
