In order to enhance international business students' knowledge of taxation in the financial industry, improve their understanding of modern financial system and tax policies, and have more in-depth contact with industry practices, we specially invited experts from Shenzhen Ping An Integrated Financial Services Co., LTD., Shenzhen Branch, to hold a special lecture entitled "Financial Taxation and Modern Economy".
The keynote speaker was Ms. Liu Zhao, senior finance and taxation expert of Ping An Bank. With her rich experience in the industry, she interacted with students through engaging cases, which greatly stimulated their enthusiasm for learning. At the beginning of the lecture, Ms. Liu asked the students to play the roles of shareholders, general managers, financial officers and tax officers respectively through role playing, so that they could deeply understand the practical application of taxation in the simulated decision-making process. In addition, she also explored how taxes affect corporate and individual economic activities in the financial industry through specific calculations of tax policies, and shared possible directions of tax policy change in the context of financial innovation and the digital economy era.

In the second half of the lecture, Ms. Liu Zhao connected the complex financial concepts to the daily lives of the students through the banking cases and the students' discussion on the types of insurance. She explained in detail the differences between new and old insurance contracts, the changes in international accounting standards, and explained the concepts of equity liquidation, divestment and transfer through specific calculation cases, which helped students deepen their understanding of financial policies and enhance their financial logic thinking.
