On April 1, 2024, from 18:50 to 20:10, the SZTU Business School hosted a unique expert lecture in Classroom C5-108 at Shenzhen Technology University. Organized by Professor Yang Qiulin from the business school, the lecture featured Mr. Yang Jin, the Head of Greater China for CSOP Asset Management, as the main speaker. Mr. Yang has an extensive background in domestic and international index investing, having worked with well-known public mutual funds both domestically and internationally, and possesses unique insights into research and trading strategies in the Hong Kong market.

The lecture, titled "A Business Perspective on the Changes and Developments in Domestic and International Index Investing," focused on the development of the global and Asia-Pacific ETF markets, discussing the role of ETFs in asset allocation and their importance in modern investment portfolios. Through an in-depth analysis of the ETF market, Mr. Yang provided the freshmen and sophomores of the business school with a macro and micro perspective, helping them understand market dynamics and their impact on investment strategies.

The event was fully attended, reflecting the students' keen interest in international financial markets and investment strategies. During the Q&A session, students enthusiastically participated and engaged in deep discussions with Mr. Yang on how to properly allocate assets and understand ETFs. These questions not only involved theoretical knowledge but also practical operations, making them highly relevant to the university students in the current economic environment.

Despite the lecture proceeding strictly according to the scheduled time, many students, due to their strong desire to learn, had questions that remained unanswered by the end of the official session. Therefore, many students continued to surround Mr. Yang after the lecture, eagerly asking various questions. Mr. Yang showed great patience in answering each query, ensuring that every student gained insights and deepened their understanding of index investing. This vibrant discussion atmosphere and in-depth exchange transformed the lecture from merely an academic sharing session into a valuable learning and communication platform, benefiting all students present.

SZTU Business School will continue to organize such lectures, aiming to bring experts from various fields to provide in-depth explanations, broaden students' international perspectives, enhance their practical application skills, and give them more opportunities to understand and engage with international financial markets.
