On the afternoon of November 13, 2025, a delegation of over 40 faculty and students from the Management Center Innsbruck (MCI) in Austria visited the School of Business at Shenzhen Technology University (SZTU). Vice Dean Li Jie, Professor HAK YEUNG, Teacher Li Xueqi, and student representatives warmly received the delegation and engaged in in-depth discussions with them.

At the beginning of the meeting, Vice Dean Li Jie extended a warm welcome to the MCI delegation and provided a comprehensive introduction to the School’s distinctive "internationalized" educational approach. He highlighted the School’s achievements and advantages in offering all-English programs and building an international faculty team. Vice Dean Li further expanded the discussion to Shenzhen, a city brimming with vitality, vividly illustrating its remarkable development journey as a critical window of China’s reform and opening-up and a pilot demonstration zone. Through real-world examples such as drones used to cool marathon runners and innovative products like magnetic charging banks, he showcased Shenzhen’s leading capabilities in technological innovation and application. Additionally, he introduced several iconic landmarks of Shenzhen, sketching the unique skyline of this modern metropolis.

During the interactive session, MCI faculty and students actively exchanged ideas on topics ranging from SZTU’s campus environment and student life to Shenzhen’s elderly-friendly services and industry salary levels, creating a lively atmosphere.

Two student representatives from the School of Business also shared their campus experiences. Catarina Marian, a student enrolled in the dual-degree program jointly offered by SZTU and the University of Applied Sciences Regensburg (Germany), mentioned that the School’s diverse faculty brings rich industry insights. Another student, Xu Yunpeng, recommended local delicacies such as "coconut chicken" hot pot, showcasing Shenzhen’s culinary culture.

Following the discussion, the MCI delegation visited the School’s teaching spaces, including the Intelligent Accounting Lab and the Digital Economy Laboratory. The advanced facilities provided a tangible sense of the University’s commitment and achievements in talent development and cutting-edge discipline construction.

This visit not only opened a window for MCI faculty and students to understand SZTU Business School and Shenzhen’s development but also laid a solid foundation for future international exchanges and cooperation between the two institutions.
