Jacky Chau received his PhD in Applied Economics and Managerial Science with specialization in accounting and master’s degree in statistics from the Wharton School of University of Pennsylvania. Prior to pursuing his PhD, he worked as an investment banking analyst covering the APAC TMT sector at Citigroup in Hong Kong, with deal advisory experiences spanning US and HK IPOs, bond offerings, equity follow-ons, and cross-border M&As. He also received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy, Politics, Economics and Bachelor of Science degree with concentrations in Finance, Statistics, Operation and Information Management from University of Pennsylvania. His research interests include the role of information in capital markets, corporate disclosures, corporate governance, retail investors, alternative data, etc. Prior to joining SZTU, he was a faculty member at the CUHK Business School, with teaching experiences in areas such as financial accounting, data analytics, business intelligence.
