Dr Wang joined the Shenzhen Technology University Business School in early 2024 and currently serves as the Deputy Director of the Marketing Department (Head of the group), the Director of the Undergraduate Minor Program in Technology Transfer, and the Deputy Director of the Case Center at the Business School.
Academic Background
Dr Wang holds a PhD in Management (Marketing direction) from the Business School at the University of Edinburgh, UK, and a MSc in Consumer Marketing from the University of Liverpool, UK. As a recipient of a scholarship from the China Scholarship Council, she was awarded a full scholarship by the University of Edinburgh and successfully completed her doctoral studies. Her main research interests include brand globalization in the AI era, marketing strategy, consumer psychology and behavior, social media advertising regulation, cross-cultural B2B and B2C marketing strategies, consumer welfare, and more. She also focuses on improving higher education teaching quality and enhancing student learning capabilities in the AI era, as well as conducting research on the development of various corporate cases related to the field of marketing.
Higher Education Expertise
With extensive teaching and research experience in UK higher education, Dr Wang has earned the Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) certification from Advance HE in November 2024. Committed to fostering global perspectives and practical competencies, she integrates real-world applications into her teaching methodologies.
Industry Experience
Dr Wang has served in esteemed multinational corporations, including Cisco, gaining broad international management experience. She has also contributed as a research fellow at the UK's Maggie's Centre, engaging in a significant research project aimed at enhancing male cancer patients' well-being through non-medical charity services. Furthermore, she successfully founded and managed her own company in the UK, gaining hands-on experience in innovation and entrepreneurship.
Collaborative Leadership Experience
Leveraging her academic and industry expertise, Dr Wang frequently advises governments, enterprises, and universities on talent development and industry-academia collaboration. She actively promotes resource sharing, talent exchange, and project partnerships among higher education institutions, corporations, and governmental bodies, strengthening the Business School’s role in regional economic and social sustainability.
