On 27th October 2023, guided by Associate ProfessorCHEN Hao, 17 students from the International Business Program of the school visited HRnetOne Shenzhen Headquarter in Nanshan District Shenzhen City.
Mr. Maverick Tan,the Business Leader of HRnetOne in South China, introduced the company and its business model to the students. He shared talent cases to show corporate culture/management practices and stated that HRnetOne currently focused on senior manager/executive staffing and recruitment. HRnetOne works closely with multinational corporations (MNCs) and local companies in a wide range of sectors such as luxury, high-tech, consumer goods and retail industries, providing their clients professional services such as talent profiling, talent mapping, staffing and recruitment, etc. based on clients’ strategic goals and company development. Such an in-depth introduction strengthened students’ understanding of Talent Staffing and Recruitment as well as the company’s business model.
During the Q&A session, company experts discussed with the students on various topics such as characteristics of company projects, its core competitive advantages, talent development, working with clients, etc. Company experts also gave professional advice to students to help them understand better the business scope and management practice of the company as well as the business of staffing and recruitment.
The company also opened the floor for all participants to communicate freely in a relaxed fashion. During this session, company associates warmly welcomed each student and patiently answered their questions, providing valuable suggestions on career development, how to improve hard/soft skills continuously, etc.
Since it’s Friday, students also participated in a weekly routine – TGIF (Thank God It’s Friday). This activity is a signature event at HRnetOne that members share their insights as well as good news for the week. A few company associates took turns to share their reflections on and learning from their week’s work as well as their “good news”. Such an event provided students the opportunity to observe and learn what happen at work and how members communicate within the company.
To make the trip more memorable, the company prepared snacks, fruits, and drinks for the students, creating an inviting and pleasant atmosphere. Students consider the visit a portal to the real business world, and a way to experience a professional working environment. Such experience prepares them for their future career.
