In order to familiarize students with the relevant knowledge of the energy storage industry, understand the framework research methods of specific industries, and provide reference for employment and entrepreneurship, the School of Business held a forum lecture on the theme of carbon neutrality in the context of carbon neutrality - energy storage industry development and typical cases in C5-106 ( 14:20-15:40 ) on November 25, 2022.

The main content of this lecture is as follows:

1. Introduction of energy storage industry

Energy storage is the development of a new power grid, which improves the capacity of the grid and improves the quality of photovoltaic power generation. The application fields of the energy storage industry are the power supply side, mainly for smoothing the wind and solar output and tracking the power generation plan, which not only improves the power generation base sending, but also can regulate frequency and peak shave, and provide backup capacity for frequency regulation. Another application field is the power grid side, which can improve the transient stability of the system, and carry out reactive power support, alleviate equipment blockage, and carry out accident backup. The final application area is on the user side, which not only improves power quality, but also participates in ancillary services in terms of demand-side response and backup power.

2. Development status and trend of energy storage industry

The development status is in 2021-2022, which is characterized by new energy consumption on the electric side, peak regulation and frequency regulation on the power grid, and the demand for resonance energy storage on the peak-valley price difference arbitrage on the electricity side, and after statistics, the cumulative installed capacity of electrochemical energy storage exceeds that of pumped storage. Among them, the enthusiasm of the development process is that the cost of electrochemical energy storage is reduced, the cycle life generally reaches more than 10,000 times, the profit model is clear, and the economy begins to appear. Finally, the development trend is clarified to reduce the cost of energy storage systems.

3. The existence of the future energy storage industry

The reserve industry is one of the few industries that is relatively prosperous today, which optimizes layer by layer to achieve space-time folding, bending, and solving the disassemble and resettable reality of reality, while the essence of the meta-universe is to superimpose new latitudes on the existing latitude and increase space-time, which is the meaning of human beings challenging themselves.
