Business School Successfully Held a Guest Lecture: Service Innovation in Organizations Enablers and Challenges to Design Thinking Practice

On November 15th, Dr. Nikolina Dragičević, a postdoctoral researcher, at the Faculty of Business and Economics, University of Zagreb, invited by Associate Professor Liu Gang gave our students an enjoyable guest lecture. The topic of this guest lecture was Service innovation in organizations Enablers and challenges to design thinking practice.

The lecture was divided into two parts. In the first part, Dr. Dragičević briefly introduced quantitate and qualitative research methods, especially focusing on applying interviews as a research method. She explained what are interviews, why needs interviews, the value of interviews, and how to conduct interviews in detail. She used many examples to let students further understand the interview methods. She also organized a group exercise: to let students compare the strengths and weaknesses of online learning through interviews. The students actively shew their ideas.

In the second part of the lecture, Dr. Dragičević introduced took her research regarding design thinking for service innovation in organizations as an example to show our students how interviews were carried out to solve research questions. During the questions and answers section, Dr. Dragičević answered students’ questions comprehensively. The students deeply understood the interview method after this lecture.
