On the morning of May 1, the first day of the Labor Day holiday, Shenzhen Technology University (SZTU) hosted its May 1 Open Campus event, attracting over 1,000 high school seniors and parents to immerse themselves in university classrooms and its educational environment. As one of the university’s key colleges, the Business School actively participated by opening two specialized training facilities—the Intelligent Accounting Training Lab and the Digital Economy Lab. Through lab tours, faculty-student interactions, and professional presentations, the college highlighted its international business curriculum features and full-English teaching environment.
01 Faculty-Student Collaboration: Warm Interactions Address Concerns

The college formed a tour guide team composed of faculty members and student volunteers to provide one-on-one consultations for visitors. Vice Dean Li Jie, a Pengcheng Peacock Distinguished Professor, emphasized, "The Business School is committed not only to nurturing students’ professional skills but also to shaping talents with a global vision and social responsibility, ensuring theories are rooted in practice and knowledge creates value." To enhance the experience, three international professors engaged students in a lively Q&A session. Discussions ranged from the college’s international curriculum to its full-English teaching environment. The humorous exchanges alleviated parents’ concerns about language adaptation, while students expressed enthusiasm for the English-taught courses and global exchange programs.

02 Open Labs: Immersive Business Education in Action
During the event, the Business School opened its Intelligent Accounting Training Lab and Digital Economy Lab on the 14th floor of the D3 Sino-German Building. Guided by student volunteers and faculty, visitors experienced real-world business scenarios through interactive demonstrations, such as simulated corporate financial system operations and digital marketing case analyses. One parent remarked, "I never expected university classes to align so closely with industry needs—this is where students gain real-world skills!"

03 Setting Sail: Planting Seeds for the Future

The May 1 Open Campus event not only bridged communication between the college and prospective students and parents but also deepened public understanding of business education through transparent, hands-on experiences. As the event concluded, a parent noted, "The full-English teaching environment here offers remarkable value." Vice Dean Li Jie stated, "We look forward to welcoming more outstanding students to the SZTU Business School family." Though the event has ended, the journey toward future dreams has just begun.
