Professor Li of the Business School Led the Students to Visit the Pingshan Biotech Industrial Park

On September 22, 2022, Professor Li Jie, Vice Dean of Business School, led three business school students, Yang Delu, Ye Jing and Lin ShuMan, to investigate and visit three biotech companies located in BT (Biotechnology) Avenue in Pingshan - Snibe Diagnostic, EDAN and HwaGen, and participated in the symposium of Pingshan Biopharmaceutical Innovation Industrial Park. The media present were Xinhua News Agency, Securities Times, Nanfang Daily, Shenzhen Newspaper and Shenzhen Radio and Television. The attendees were the head of Science and Technology Innovation Bureau, the head of industrial park, enterprise representatives, CPPCC members, experts, and media representatives.


Pingshan BT Avenue, the approximately 3.6-kilometer-long section from Jinxiu Middle Road to Jinxiu East Road in Pingshan District, is home to more than 200 biopharmaceutical companies, including 11 listed companies. The flourishing and thriving of Pingshan BT Avenue is inseparable from the strong support of Shenzhen Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government for Pingshan's biopharmaceutical industry, and also reflects the effectiveness of Shenzhen Pingshan's reform in deepening the integration of industry, academia and research fields.

Shenzhen Biomedical Innovation Industrial Park, the national-level biomedical industrial park in China, which covers an area of 124,000 square kilometers and has a total planned construction area of 290,000 square kilometers, is a large-scale innovative industrial carrier built by the Shenzhen Municipal Government to promote the rapid expansion and development of high-growth and high-quality biomedical SMEs.


In the aspect of industry-university-research, Shenzhen Biomedical Innovation Industrial Park focuses on cooperation and exchange with universities and introduces Technology Achievement Transformation Center of Shenzhen Technology University to settle on the 2nd to 4th floors of Building 10 to deepen the new model of industry-university-research cooperation in various fields, such as innovative drugs, high-end intelligent medical and pharmaceutical technology. This visit shows more profoundly the feasibility and broad development space of university-enterprise cooperation, and further promotes the exploration of the model of joint development between our university and various enterprises.

In the seminar, Prof. Li Jie said that Shenzhen Technology University is characterized by application-oriented schooling, and deepens the school-enterprise docking through "special classes" and "order classes" and other modes, strives to achieve that what students learn in school is what enterprises need, and cultivates professional talents for enterprises and society. Then, thanks to the financial investment of the government in Shenzhen Technology University, the school has purchased the latest advanced equipment to support classroom teaching, and opened the "SZTU Forum" to invite outstanding entrepreneurs and highly sophisticated technical personnel to give lectures to the school, so that students can keep in touch with the most advanced productivity. In addition, Shenzhen Technology University learns from the "German model" and sets up a "hard internship" training mode in the second semester of the third year, so that students can gain complete enterprise project experience and experience through long-term internship practice in enterprises and become more adaptable to the employment. The students can gain a complete experience of corporate projects through long-term internship practice in enterprises, so that they can be more suitable for the market demand.


With the progress of social and economic development, people's pursuit of health has been escalating. Biomedical industry, as one of the three pillar industries of Pingshan, presents a strong development trend of industrial concentration and talent gathering. The development of industries and enterprises can never be separated from the development of talents. We expect that with the joint efforts of multiple social forces, we can continuously promote the in-depth cooperation between Shenzhen Technology University and the local core industries, so that the integration of industry-university-research can be well established and implemented.
