On 19 Nov, 2021, the signing and awarding ceremony of "Quality Student Base" of Shenzhen Technology University was held in No.1 Middle School of Zhongshan. Holger Haldenwang, dean of Business School of Shenzhen Technology University, and Deng Yusheng, Director of Teaching Office of No.1 Middle School of Zhongshan, signed the "Quality Student Base" agreement on behalf of both parties and held the awarding ceremony. Liu Hongwei, Director of SZTU Registry and Admissions Office, Liu Yandan, staff member of Admissions Office, Li Xueqi, executive secretary of Business School, Kong Yuanyuan, Director of senior grade of No.1 Middle School of Zhongshan attended the signing ceremony and seminar.

Director Deng from No.1 Middle School of Zhongshan, welcomed the delegation from Shenzhen Technology University and introduced the history and characteristics of the school and its achievements in talent cultivation in recent years. He said that No. 1 Middle School, as a century-old school, has profound cultural heritage and distinctive school-running characteristics. Its outstanding school-running performance and excellent school spirit are renowned throughout the country. The establishment of "Quality Student Base" between Shenzhen Technology University and No.1 Middle School of Zhongshan will promote the talent cultivation between the two schools to a new level.
Liu Hongwei, director of SZTU Registry and Admissions Office, expressed his gratitude for the warm reception of Zhongshan No. 1 Middle School, and briefly introduced the history, disciplinary characteristics, professional advantages, and previous admissions of SZTU. Shenzhen Technology University is demanded by the Ministry of Education in the construction of a high starting point, research-oriented university of technology, to the first-class applied science university in Germany and Switzerland, which aims to develop with international vision and craftsmen, entrepreneurial spirit and innovation ability of high-level engineers, designers and actuaries etc applied talents to solve the key technical problems for society. Director Liu said, No.1 Middle School of Zhongshan is one of the schools we pay special attention to in Guangdong Province, the school size, area, school quality is very high, in recent years, this school has been delivering high-quality students for us. It is hoped that both sides will take the opportunity of signing the contract of "Quality Student Base" to continue to strengthen communication and cooperation in recruitment publicity, academic lectures, talent cultivation and other aspects, so as to attract more outstanding students to choose SZTU and jointly cultivate more outstanding talents with solid theoretical foundation and innovative practice ability.
After the symposium, a group of Shenzhen Technology University visited the teaching building and school history museum accompanied by Director Deng of Zhongshan No. 1 Middle School.
