The 6th International Conference on Innovation and Knowledge Management (iKM2025) will be held on October 31-November 1, 2025 in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province. Co-organized by the Research Center for Technological Innovation of Tsinghua University, the Business School of Shenzhen Technology University, andTongfangKnowledge Network Digital Publishing Technology Co.,Ltd. The conference will invite more than 30 experts, scholars, and practitioners all over the world, such as Prof.He Liu,Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE), Prof. Wei Lu from Wuhan University,Prof. Jin Chen from Tsinghua University, Prof. WB Lee and Prof. Eric Tsui fromtheHong Kong Polytechnic University, Prof. AinoKiantofrom Lappeenranta-Lahti University of Technology, Finland, Prof. Jacky Fok Loi Hongfrom University of Macau,Prof.WimVanhaverbekefromUniversity of AntwerpBelgium,etc., to talk about the future of innovation and knowledge management. 3.1 Keynote speakers
He Liu
ProfessorLiu, an Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE)and Professor at the Research Institute of Petroleum Exploration & Development (RIPED), CNPC. He is a distinguished expert in energy and mining engineering management. As a leadingexpertin China’s oil recovery engineering field, he has dedicated decades to the Research and Development of oil recovery engineering technologies and equipment, as well as the innovation and practice of engineering management. He established the “Continuous Integration” engineering management model for oil recovery engineering technology and management, resolving core technical challenges such as fine stratified water injection and stratified polymer injection. His work accelerated the iterative upgrade and industrial application of new technologies, driving leapfrog advancements in both technical and managerial domains, and enabled the effective utilization of tailings and low-grade resources. In recent years, focusing on the practical deployment of AI in the oil and gas field, he has served as the chief designer of the major AI project of CNPC, and completed the development plan and top-level design for AI in the oil and gas industry. He has won 1 Special Prize and 3 Second Prizes of the National Science and Technology Progress Award, 1 Second Prize of the National Technological Invention Award, as well as honors such as the Guanghua Engineering Science and Technology Award and the SunYueqiEnergy Grand Prize.
Wei Lu
ProfessorLuisfromthe School of Information Management, Wuhan University, currently serving as a Member of the Standing Committee of the PartyCommittee and Vice Presidentof Wuhan University, Director of the Big Data Research Institute of Wuhan University, Deputy Director of the NationalCenter forApplied Mathematicsin Hubei, and Director of the InstituteofIntelligence and Innovation Governance. He also holds concurrent positions including Member of theMinistry of Education’sSteering Committeeon the Teaching ofManagement Science and Engineering, Member of the Philosophy and Social Sciences Expert Group of the National Textbook Committee, Vice President of the China Society of Indexers, Vice President of the ChinaAssociation forInformation System (CNAIS), and Editor-in-Chief of Data and Information Management. He has been selected for honors such as the New Century Excellent Talents Support Program of the Ministry of Education, the inaugural Young Scholar and Distinguished Professor under the National Talent Program, recipient of the State Council Special Allowance, and Leader of thefirstbatch ofPhilosophy and Social Sciences Innovation Team designated by the Ministry of Education. He has presided over ten major national research projects, including the National 2030 "New Generation Artificial Intelligence" Major Project, Major Projects of the National Social Science Fundof Chinaand National Natural Science Foundationof China, Key Projects of the National Key R&D Program,etc. He alsohas been awarded the Outstanding Achievement Award in Humanities and Social Sciences by the Ministry of Education.
Jin Chen
ProfessorChen isat the School of Economics and Management, Tsinghua University, and serves as the Director of the Research Center for Technological Innovation at Tsinghua University. He has dedicated his career to research in knowledge and innovation management and has been honored with prestigious awards including the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, State Council Special Allowance, the National "National Hundred-Thousand Talent Project", and the Changjiang Distinguished Professor.He currently holds leadership roles in academic organizations such as Vice President of the Chinese Academy of Management Science, Vice Chairman of the Chinese Society for Science of Science and S&T Policy, etc.In academic publishing, he serves as Editor-in-Chief of International Journal of Knowledge Management Studies and International Journal of Innovation Studies, and Associate Editor ofTechnovation,Science of Science and Management of S.& T., and Journal of Management Engineering.
WB Lee
Professor Leeis the Founding Director of the Knowledge Management and Innovation Research Centre at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He currently serves as the Global Chairman of the MIKE Award Committee. His previous roles include President of the Hong Kong Association for the Advancement of Science and Technology, Chairman of the Institution of Electrical Engineers (Hong Kong Branch), member of the Engineering Panel of the Research Grants Council, and President of the Asian Society for Precision Engineering and Nanotechnology (ASPEN).He concurrently serves as Editor-in-Chief of the international journalsJournal of Information and Knowledge Management Systems and Journal of Knowledge Science and Systems Science, and previously held editorial positions including Regional Editor (Asia) for the International Journal of Materials Processing Technology and Editorial Board Member of the Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering.His research focuses on advanced manufacturing technology, manufacturing strategy, and knowledge management. Professor Li co-founded Hong Kong’s first knowledge solutions laboratory, the "Digital Factory and Microsoft Enterprise Systems Center," with Microsoft. He launched Asia’s first online Master of Science (MSc) in Knowledge Management program and pioneered the research and application of knowledge management in manufacturing, public utilities, and healthcare sectors.
Eric Tsui
Professor Eric Tsui is from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He is a Vice President of the Hong Kong Knowledge Management Society, and also Vice President of the International Association for Knowledge Management (IAKM). He joined Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) in 1989 and has been a full professor at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University since March 2005. Between 2015 and 2017, he was twice listed as an Outstanding/Exemplary academic in The Hong Kong Polytechnic University's annual reports. With nearly two decades of experience in teaching and practicing knowledge management, he is also an honorary advisor in knowledge management to two departmentsofHong Kong Special Administrative Region Government as well as consulted for governments and enterprises in Australia, Japan, Singapore, Brunei, Thailand and Malaysia. He was the Regional Editor for theJournal of Knowledge Managementand served as Associate Editor for theVINE Journal of Information and Knowledge Management Systems.
Mats Magnusson
ProfessorMagnusson is Professorof Product Innovation Engineering and Vice Head of the School of Industrial Management at KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, and he is also Permanent Visiting Professor at LUISS Guido Carli University in Rome. He has previously been visiting professor at Aalborg University and the University of Bologna, director of the Institute for Management of Innovation and Technology in Sweden, and chairman of theContinuous Innovation Network. His research, teaching, and consultancy activities cover a wide range of topics in the fields of innovation management, product development, R&D management, and strategic management, and he has published articles on these topics in e.g.Research Policy, Journal of Product Innovation Management, R&D Management, Organization Studies, andLong Range Planning.
Dong Xiaoying
Professor Dong isEmeritus Professor at the Guanghua School of Management, Peking University, China. Sheis a member of the CommunicationExpert Committee of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Industrial Internet Strategic Advisory Committee, and the National Knowledge Management and Innovation Management Standardization Committee. She has presided over many projects commissioned by UNESCO, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and the National Social Science Fund of China. Her recently published books include: Huawei: From Catching-Up to Leading (Peking University Press, Springer, in Chinese, English, and Russian); Cisco: Integration of Innovation and Operation (Peking University Press, Springer, in Chinese and English); Digital transformation: Models and Practices of Enterprises in China (in Chinese and English); Change and Transformation: Digital Transformation Strategy and Mechanism Innovation; and From Knowledge Management to Knowledge Advantage: Innovation Ambidexterity in digital age (published in 2025).
Aino Kianto
D.Sc. AinoKiantois full professor of Knowledge Management at the LUT Business School, Lappeenranta-Lahti University of Technology (LUT), Finland. She is the leader of the LUT Knowledge Management Team, one of the world’s leading academic laboratories working on knowledge-related management topics and executing the MasterProgrammeon Knowledge Management and Leadership since 2001. Prof.Kianto’sresearch focuses on knowledge management, intellectual capital, and innovation, resilience, and organizational renewal. Her research on these topics has been published widely and acknowledged with several international awards. Her papers have appeared in, for example,Journal of Business Research,Technovation, R&D Management, Human Resource Management Journal, Journal of Knowledge Management, Journal of Intellectual Capital, andAccounting, Auditing and Accountability Journal. Prof.Kiantohas delivered keynote speeches and acted as a track chair in many international conferences and currently serves in the editorial board of four academic journals. She also is the vice president of the International Association for Knowledge Management, and a board member of The Finnish Association for Knowledge Management.
Vincent Ribiere:
Dr. Vincent Ribiereis an eminent expert in Knowledge Management (KM), boasting over 25 years of experience. As the co-founder and Managing Director of the Institute for Knowledge and Innovation Southeast Asia (IKI-SEA) at Bangkok University, he has been pivotal in establishing and directing the innovative Ph.D. program in Knowledge Management and Innovation Management (Ph.D. KIM) for the past 14 years. A leader in global KM endeavors, Dr. Vincent coordinates the Global Most Innovative and Knowledge Enterprise Award (MIKE Award) and founded the Southeast Asia MIKE Award. He annually organizes theOrganizational Knowledge Sharing (OKS) Certificate program in collaboration with the World Bank.

Wim Vanhaverbeke(Editor-in-chief ofTechnovation)
Wim Vanhaverbeke is Professor (Emeritus as of October 1, 2025) Digital Strategy and Innovation at the Faculty of Business and Economics of the University of Antwerp. His current research focuses on the implications of digital strategies and management challenges of innovation ecosystems in healthcare, agriculture and energy. He has been visiting professor at NUS (Singapore) and is currently a visiting professor at the Zhejiang University (China), ESADE (Spain) andPolitecnicodi Milano (Italy).His research focuses on digital transformation, innovation ecosystems, and open innovation, with publications in leading journals such as Organization Science, Journal of Management, Research Policy,Technovationand California Management Review. He has co-edited four books on open innovation and authored a seminal work on managing open innovation in SMEs.He is Editor-in-Chief ofTechnovationand a prominent academic voice in digital transformation and innovation ecosystem research. He co-founded the European Innovation Forum with Henry Chesbrough in 2012 and co-organized the World Open Innovation Conference in 2016. A sought-after speaker at international conferences, he also advises large corporations and technology start-ups on innovation strategies. He serves on the Advisory Committee of the Research Center for Technological Innovation at Tsinghua University.

Henri Hussinki, D.Sc. (Econ. &Bus.Adm.), is an Assistant Professor (tenure track) at the Business School, LUT University, Finland. He specializes on strategic use of information systems and knowledge management in organizations. He wasrecently appointed as the editor of Knowledge Management Research & Practice.He has published on these topics in outlets such as theKnowledge Management Research & Practice, Journal of Knowledge Management, Journal of Intellectual Capital, andCritical Perspectives on Accounting.
Patarapong Intarakumnerd(Editor-in-chief of Asian Journal of Technology Innovation)
Patarapong Intarakumnerdis a fullProfessor at National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies (GRIPS), Tokyo. His research interests include innovation systems in newly-industrialisingcountries in Asia, industrial clusters, technological capabilities of latecomer firms, innovation financing, and roles of public researchinstiutesand universities. He is an editor-in-chief of SSCI-indexed Asian Journal of Technology Innovation, and a member of international editorial boards of several international journals related to innovation management and policies. He has worked as an advisor/consultant for the World Bank, UNESCO, UNCTAD, OECD, JICA, Asian ProductivityOrganisation(APO), German Development Institute, International Development Research Center of Canada (IDRC), Economic Research Institute of ASEAN and East Asia (ERIA).

6.1. Instructions for contributors
(1) Papers must be original articles. Please include Title, names and affiliations of authors, abstract on the first page of the paper. Number of words: 5000-7000 words (Excluding figures, tables, and references).
(2) Papers must not have been submitted elsewhere. For papers that derive from content archived on a university server, the author must note this in the MS and include appropriate references and citations of the original work.
(3) Language: English.
(4) Re-use of published material must be kept at bare minimum since these are supposed to be original article. Any re-use of published content must be explained, and authors must obtain permission for approved re-use.
(5) A double-blind peer review process will be carried out once we receive your paper.
(6) Those paper that pass the review process as well as publisher will be included in the proceedings volume.
(7) High-quality papers will be selected for special presentations at the conference. After revision under expert guidance, these papers will beconsidered for publication in the special issue (Open Access only) of International Journal of Knowledge Management Studies for (iKM2025).
