Three representatives from the China-German Chamber of Commerce visited SZTU, the College of Urban Transportation and Logistics, and the Business School on September 29, 2025 and had a meeting with the deans Holger Haldenwang und Franz Raps.

Led by Ingo Xu, Vice President of the German Chamber, accompanied byCharlotte Tan, Executive Director, andPeter Tauber, Manager of the Shenzhen Office, they visited several laboratories at the Urban Transportation College and the Business School, where they discussed internship opportunities for our students as well as for students from Germany. The Chamber is prepared to reserve a number of internships, particularly within the framework of an existing bilateral agreement at the government level with SZTU BS, which will allow German students to obtain an internship visa without any problems. This is particularly important for BS double degree students, who are all required to complete a mandatory internship in China.

In general, the Chamber proposes to make its resources available and arrange internships for interested students within the framework of a longer-term agreement, which must also include financial compensation to be determined. On the part of BS, a person must still be appointed who will act as the responsible contact person for the Chamber, so to speak.

Also the chamber is open to attend on a job fair organized by our BS and to invite our interested students to participate a job fair organized by the Chamber.

Furthermore, the Chamber is prepared to give guest lectures, particularly to BS students, to present the Chamber and its tasks as a concrete measure of international economic policy.

Finally, the Chamber will encourage its member companies to contact the SZTU in order to obtain short-term personnel and material support for their research and development projects.

It is intended to sign an agreement to this effect as soon as possible.
